The Celebration

Dinner, Drinks & Festivities

Following the ceremony, guests will gather on the Canapé Terrace for cocktails and canapés before sitting down for a formal dinner on the lawns of the Château. As dinner comes to a close, the celebration continues with dancing late into the night.

The Night Before

Welcome Dinner
June 28, 2027

Join us the night before the wedding at Bistro Rigaud, a charming riverside bistro just across the valley from the Château. With rustic French charm, beautiful views over the Dordogne, and plenty of wine, it’s the perfect place to kick off the celebrations together. After dinner, we’ll head back to the Château for a nightcap.

Cocktail Attire.

Recovery Day

July 30, 2027

After the celebrations, we’ll be embracing l’art de ne rien faire... the French art of doing absolutely nothing.

Spend our final day at Rigaud lounging by the pool, soaking up the French sunshine and reliving the night before while the Château team takes care of everything else.

Settle in poolside for an afternoon feast of slow-roasted meats, quiches, and seasonal vegetables... And because no recovery day is complete without a little indulgence, there will be a cheese board, limitless rosé, red and white wine, and the Rigaud soft-serve machine churning all afternoon.

Au Revoir,
Château Rigaud

July 30, 2027

As the sun begins to set, we’ll make our way to the vegetable garden for our final evening together with a relaxed dinner in the Château’s vegetable garden. The chefs will fire up the wood-burning oven for handmade pizzas cooked to order, served beneath the festoon lights in the garden.

Laid-back, a little magical, and the perfect way to end our time at the Château—soaking up our last night of celebrations with all of our favorite people.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get to Château Rigaud?

Guests can either fly into Bordeaux Mérignac Airport (approximately 1 hour from the château) or Bergerac Dordogne Périgord Airport (approximately 45 minutes away) and rent a car or arrange transportation to Château Rigaud.

Another option is to fly into Paris, spend a few days there, and then take the train south toward the château—this is what we’ll be doing! The nearest mainline station is Libourne, approximately 20 minutes from Château Rigaud.

For more detailed travel information and directions, visit the Directions Guide below:

Do I need to renew my passport before the wedding?

Please check your passport expiration date well in advance of the wedding.

To avoid any travel complications, we recommend that your passport be valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned return date. For our wedding weekend, that means your passport should ideally be valid through at least January 2028. If yours expires before then, we recommend renewing it early.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies?

Absolutely. Château Rigaud’s chefs are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies.

We’ll collect this information from guests closer to the wedding so the culinary team can plan accordingly.

WHAT EVENTS SHOULD I PLAN TO ATTEND?

We would love for you to join us for all 3 days.

Celebrations will include our Rehearsal Dinner & Welcome Party, the Wedding Ceremony & Reception, a relaxed Recovery Pool Day, and our final evening together at the château.

Exact timing and additional details will be shared closer to the wedding.

CAN I BRING A PLUS-ONE?

Due to the intimate nature of the weekend and limited accommodations at the château, invitations are limited to the guests specifically named on your invitation.

Thank you for understanding!

CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN TO THE WEDDING FESTIVITIES?

Yes—we’d love for the whole family to join us!

Château Rigaud is very well equipped for little ones, with five cribs, seven highchairs, cots, toys, and extensive baby and toddler facilities available for guests. Childcare can also be arranged, with a fully equipped nursery for up to eight children and staffing in accordance with UK child-to-staff ratios.

Babysitting must be booked at least eight weeks in advance, so please let us know as early as possible if you’ll be bringing children and would like childcare so we can plan accordingly.

Is there a dress code?

For the Rehearsal Dinner / Welcome Party, the dress code is cocktail attire. For the Wedding, we’re going all out with a black tie affair. The Recovery Pool Day is all about taking it easy... think casual, comfortable, and pool-side ready. Bring a swimsuit, cover-up, sandals, and anything else you'll want for a long, lazy afternoon by the pool followed by a woodfire oven pizza dinner in the Vegetable Garden.

We’re also putting together a mood board with a little inspiration, so stay tuned!

WHEN WILL THE FULL SCHEDULE BE AVAILABLE?

We’re still putting the finishing touches on a few details.

Further details to follow as we get closer to the wedding weekend.

WHERE CAN I LEARN MORE ABOUT Château Rigaud?

For anyone who wants to learn a bit more about Château Rigaud, the accommodations, amenities, and what to expect during our stay, we recommend visiting the Château's website for a closer look at the property and everything it has to offer.

We'll also be sharing more details about the wedding festivities and what's included as we get closer to the wedding.

When should I RSVP?

We'd love to have a "soft RSVP" by January 1, 2027. Since we'll be spending 3 days together at the Château, having an early sense of who can join us will help us as we plan accommodations, childcare, transportation, and all of the little details that will make the wedding festivities special.

Our official RSVP deadline will be included with the formal wedding invitation.

What currency is used in France?

France uses the euro (€). Credit and debit cards are widely accepted, but we recommend having a small amount of cash on hand for local markets, smaller shops, cafés, or other little adventures along the way.

Be sure to check with your bank or credit card provider before traveling for any international fees or travel notifications.
